How to Fix "This PC Can’t Run Windows 11"

Before going through "How to fix your system when it says This PC Can’t Run Windows 11" in this blogpost , check out our blog on a step-by-step guide of how you can check for Windows 11 compatibility with your laptop or PC.

If your PC or laptop is showing ‘This PC Can’t Run Windows 11’ then don’t get disheartened. The Microsoft PC Health Check app might be showing this message because the laptop or PC Secure Boot and TPM could be disabled in UEFI or BIOS settings. You need to enable this from the settings and then you can once again check whether your PC or laptop is compatible or not.

TPM ensures security on devices and has been put on most modern PCs for over five year now. It was recommended for Windows 10 too.

Here’s how you can enable Secure Boot and TPM:

  1. Shut down your system (laptop or PC) and turn it back on.

  2. There will be a special key or button to access the BIOS or UEFI settings. Generally, it varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. So, for example, if you have an Acer laptop, you can press F2 at the boot to enter the UEFI or BIOS settings.

  3. Once you are into the Settings, navigate to Security and Enable TPM mode.

  4. Now go to the Boot option and then Enable Secure Boot option.

  5. Once done, Press F10 or you can select ‘save and exit’ and the PC will restart automatically.

You can once again open the PC Health Check application to see whether your PC is upgradable to Windows 11 or not.
