What's new in DB2 V11.5.7 ?

Finally Db2 11.5.7 is here!! In this release, IBM offers database efficiency, simplicity, and reliability in the form of new features and enhancements that address a wide variety of business requirements. Enhancements include improved resiliency through control file mirroring and improved support for cloud object storage. So In this blog we will see all the new features and functionality of Db2 11.5.7.0 which also incorporates all previous capabilities from earlier Mod Packs.

Note: This release is currently available only for DB2 On-Premise systems.

Now lets see all the new capabilities available in Db2 11.5.7.0

• Installation and upgrade enhancements Db2 11.5.7 includes enhancements that make it faster to deploy products and easier to maintain them.

• Security enhancements Db2 11.5.7 provides enhanced security when establishing Transport Layer Securiity (TLS, formerly SSL) connections.

• SQL enhancements Db2 11.5.7 includes enhancements to the behavior of SQL statements within Db2.

• Database administration enhancements Db2 11.5.7 includes enhancements that improve a user's ability to manipulate database objects within Db2.

• Compression and storage enhancements Db2 11.5.7 provides users with the option to improve trickle-feed data insert performance and compression for column-organized tables.

• High availability, backup, resiliency, and recovery enhancements Db2 11.5.7 includes enhancements that help ensure that your data remains available.

• IBM data server client and driver enhancements for Db2 11.5.7 Some IBM data server clients and drivers have been enhanced with new and improved features for better application performance and reliability.

• Federation server enhancements Db2 11.5.7 provides enhanced access to data sources in a Federation Server environment.
